Oklahoma Public Records

The Oklahoma Open Records Act (Article 3, of title 51) provides definitions and exemptions for public record and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the people and agencies in regards to keeping and viewing records.  According to the law, 'public record' is defined as any record created, kept and/or maintained by a public office and includes all forms of capture and retention media (text, images, video, audio, etc).

Records requests should be addressed to the appropriate agency. It is highly recommended that all requests be made in writing. Certain fees may apply.
